Andrew S. Davis was the husband of Harriett N. Andruss. Andrew served in the Mexican War prior to his marriage to Harriet. They married January 7, 1948 in Jefferson County Tennessee. By 1849, they left Tennessee and removed to Missouri where their first son was born.

By 1851, Andrew and Harriett had two sons: Brisbon Napoleon Longinus and James Robert Harvey Davis.
Harriet died in 1854 leaving Andrew a widower with young children. She was laid to rest in the Madisonville Cemetery in Monroe County, Tennessee.
After Harriet's death, Andrew served Union in the Civil War. After the war, He remarried Frances E. Shell, March 8, 1868, in McMinn County, Tennessee. His sons from his marriage to Harriett moved to Washington State and established themselves in the lumber business.

Andrew and Frances relocated to Flint, Benton County, Arkansas where they established their home and had at least three children: Homer O., Melissa, and Andrew H. Davis (1880 Census).

According to the Benton County cemetery index, Andrew S. Davis is buried in the Maysville Cemetery where Frances is also buried.
