ATTEND RITES FOR PROMINENT
SULPHUR SPRINGS MAN
A number from here attended funeral services Saturday afternoon for Ben C. Davis, aged 59, prominent Sulphur Springs, Ark., citizen and widely known political and civic leader of Northwest Benton County, who died at his home at Sulphur Springs on Thursday, Feb. 27, 1936, following a brief illness. The funeral was held at the Methodist Church at Sulphur Springs and burial was in the Gravette cemetery.
Mr. Davis was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Davis of Sulphur Springs, and was born and reared there. He was a frequent county seat visitor and had many warm friends here in Bentonville.
Beside his wife, Mrs. Julia Eldred Davis, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Homer Pearson of Fayetteville, and a brother, John Davis of Lanagan, Mo.
Among those attending the funeral from Bentonville were County Judge David Compton, Attorneys Joe Beasley and Vol Lindsey, Chas. W. Foster, and Dr. W.M. Moberly.
