My Great Great Grandmother
OCCUPATION: MIDWIFE

Caroline married John Corn 11 on June 6, 1850 and they were blessed with 11 children. Josephine 7-8-1851, William 7-4-1853, Edwin 8-1-1855, Henry 11-24-1857, Nancy Ann (My great grandmother) 6-30-1860, John 7-18-1862, Rachel 3-5-1865, George 4-15-1867, Susan 1-11-1870, Decatur 10-24-1872,Daniel 5-12-1874.

Juliann Bird Perdue (1845 - 1922)*
Samuel Tate Davis (1850 - 1917)*
Daniel Davis (1854 - 1878)*
Caroline was part Cherokee Indian.I will have more to post on this when I dig out all my notes. Caroline was a midwife. So was Rachel. They rode a horse with a pine knott for a light and delivered babies all over the county.
John and Caroline are both buried at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with many other family members. Their daughter Nancy Ann and her husband Archibald Gaydon are also buried there.
