Mrs. Belva Lucille Allen Davis, age 101, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away on January 11, 2014. Mrs. Davis was born on March 13, 1912 to the late Marshall Champion and Frances Jane Robertson Allen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Stewart and Mary Davis; and sisters, Ann McWhorter, Hazel Grizzard, and Florence Saxon.
Mrs. Davis was a Medical Records Librarian with the United States Army. She was a true Christian in both deed and word. She was a giver with a servant's heart.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Bill Wallace of Duluth, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Doris Davis of Powder Springs, GA; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funerals services were held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM from Steadman Baptist Church with Brother Jimmy Sanders officiating.
Pallbearers were Ed Johnson, Robert Lynes, Allen Davis, Bill Wallace, Hugh Allen, Curtis McCormick, and Julius Davenport.
Interment followed in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Bremen, GA.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 13, 2014, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:30 PM. Miller Funeral Home, Tallapoosa
