Nancy Ruth Lippa Rosen Davis, age 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Houston on Monday, November 3, 2014. Nancy was born November 30, 1925 in Chicago, to Louis and Portia Lippa. Nancy loved traveling, photography, needlepoint, bridge, mah jongg, tennis and being with friends and family. Nancy was widowed by Raymond D. Rosen in 1978 after 35 years of marriage. She remarried in 1987 to I. Bob Davis who died in 2010. Nancy is survived by her sister, Margie Barancik and her husband, Chuck; sons Alan Rosen and his wife, Judy; Jimmy Rosen and his wife, Vicki; daughter Carol Rosen Berry; grandchildren Melissa Rosen Thoune and her husband, Chris; Kimberly Rosen Miller and her husband, Ryan; Louis Lochte, Rebekah Rose Lochte, Jonathan Rosen, and Meagan Rosen; and great-grandchildren Kaylin Thoune and Bryn Thoune. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm, in the Proler Chapel at Beth Israel Memorial Gardens, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, TX 77055. Rabbi Ranon Teller will officiate. A Shiva Minyan will take place that evening, Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 7:00 pm in Nancy's condominium in the St. James, 5555 Del Monte, #1105, Houston, TX 77056.
