Bobbie Jean "Nancy" Baker, 62, of Athens, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Jack Franklin and Betty King Davis. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a former employee of Hughes Cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Larry Davis; and two sisters, Hazel Irene Davis Stephens and Ruby Jean Davis Grady.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Baker of Athens; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Candy Baker and Jeff and Paula Baker, all of Athens; one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Douglas Nichols of Athens; five grandchildren, Kelsey, Tristin, Tanner, Garrett and Emily Baker; special nieces and nephews, Tammy and Greg Nichols, Gregory Nichols, Janice Moses, Danny Stephens and Mickey and Scottie Grady; and several friends and other family.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. James Morgan and Jerry Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.
