Mary Cranfield

Mary Elizabeth Cranfield, 93, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, in a local hospital.

She was a member of Grasshopper Church of God. She was a homemaker.

She was the daughter of the late Jess Davis and Annie Mae Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Amos Cranfield; two daughters: Loretta Marie Clonce and Sandra Alene Davis; and two sons: Jessie Lee Cranfield and Clarence Elmer Cranfield.

She is survived by four daughters: Brenda Cranfield of Decatur, Mechita Scoggins of Cleveland, Phyllis Davis of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Rebecca Millsaps of Cleveland; two special grandchildren: Arlene Gamble and Kenneth Filyaw; several other grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Shirley Cranfield of Cleveland; and special niece, Laolla Holder.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in Grasshopper Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

D.J. Holloway, Kenneth Filyaw, Bobby Davis, Kevin Gamble, Tim Cranfield and Coty Cranfield will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
