James Marion "Punkin" Davis,
husband of Della Tabor Davis, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011. He was a 68 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late James E. and Hettie E. Wilson Davis, Army veteran of the Vietnam War, retired employee from Bluegrass Army Ordinance, and a member of the Baptist Church and Mt. Sterling Masonic Lodge #23, serving as Past Master and District Deputy twice. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sharon Davis of Jefferson-ville, a son, Tony H. (Jackie) Davis of Mt. Sterling, 2 grandsons, James Christopher Davis of Lexington and Derek Allen Jones of Mt. Sterling, a great-grandson, Jacob Allen Jones of Mt. Sterling, a brother, Leslie "Beaky" Davis of Mt. Sterling, special grand-niece, Brittany Davis of Jeffersonville and special friend, Travis Carpenter. His funeral will be 1:00 Wednesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Lovely Cemetery where American Legion will have military rites. Visit-ation is 6-9:00 Tuesday with Masonic service at 7:00
