Silas "Si" Neal Davis, age 96, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Taylor House in Des Moines. Si was born September 17, 1915 in Letcher, South Dakota. The family moved to the Booneville area when Si was a young man, where they farmed. On August 6, 1949 he married Louise A. Davis. Si and Louise raised their family and farmed the family farm until he retired.

Si loved fishing in Minnesota, playing cards and was an avid bowler for many years.

Survivors include sons Ron of Macksburg and Ike (Vickey) of Prole, daughters Patricia (Jim) Tonsi of Des Moines and Marilyn (Ken) Carston of Mt. Juliet, TN; sister-in-law June Gilham of Waukee, grandchildren Kari Davis, Kristi Mathis, Kiel Davis, Julie (Josh) Russell, Angela Collum, Sharon Tonsi, R.C. Johnson and Lucas Johnson; great-grandchildren James Collum and Alyssa Russell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Si was preceded in death by his loving wife Louise, parents Howard and Hattie Davis, brother Raoul and sister Harriet Tschantz.
