A celebration of life service for Shirley Davie will be held at a later date. She died at 5:50 pm Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Kenton Nursing & Rehab. She was born on April 26, 1937 in Bellefontaine to the late Harold and Cora Mae (Flickinger) Kilgore. In 1965 she married James Harold Davie Sr. and he preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Karen Long of Kenton; 3 grandchildren, Eric (Brooke) Taylor; Amy Jo (Brock) Manns; and Sara Hatcher; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a special friend John Shirk, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
She was a homemaker and a 1957 graduate of Rushsylvania High School. Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting with her friends at Hardin Crest, reading, and going for walks.
