Dora Jean Davidson, 74, of Pensacola died Monday, December 23, 2002.
Ms. Davidson was a native of LaFayette, Louisiana and had resided in Pensacola for the past 40 years. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church.
Ms. Davidson's parents, Philip and Carmen Guidry, and sister, Helen Guidry, preceded her in death.
She had a very strong faith, and love for her family and friends, and now has a new life for herself; the spiritual life which will never end. A life in which she has always believed in.
Survivors include her son, Wade Davidson; her four daughters, Dora Ann Behan (and husband Chris) of Riverview, FL, Donna Davidson of Pensacola, Helen Mendez (and husband Manuel) of Molino, and Rhonda Balk (and husband Jimmy) of Chumuckla; four brothers, George Herman Guidry of LAFayette, LA, Philip J. Guidry and Paul Guidry both of Marietta, GA, and Wilburn Guidry of Atlanta, GA; and nine grandchildren, Sabrina, Heather, Keely, Wayne, Miranda, Raven, Sylvia, Shelby and Cameron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, December 27, 2002 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with Reverend Richard Dawson celebrating.
Burial will be in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Balk, James Balk, Kyle Balk, Chris Behan, Manuel Mendez, Wayne Perry, Chucky Guidry, Jeff Nobles and Brandon Nobles.
EASTERN GATE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 26, 2002 from 5 PM to 7 PM, with Rosary being recited at 6:30 PM, at the funeral home.
A very heartfelt thank you goes to Dr. Videau and associates, Dr. Rush, the nurses and staff of I.C. U. at Sacred Heart Hospital.
