Morgan & Sally Daves Jones had one child, Mary McKinlay Jones, who was born Jan 8, 1802. When Mary was about 6 weeks old, her mother died & she was adopted by her half-great-uncle, Eaton Pugh of Northampton Co., and was given the last name of Pugh. Mary was married to Andrew R. Govan, then a member of Congress from South Carolina, on March 10, 1825. They later moved to Holly Springs, Mississippi. Mary Pugh Govan died in McComb City, Miss, July 12, 1888.

Note: A couple of requests have been received asking that her first name be changed to Sarah, saying that Sally is a nickname. Because her grave marker shows "Sally," this is how her name will be shown unless proof of "Sarah" is provided.
