Molly L. Bybee, 95, of Blossom, died at 3:31 PM, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services are set for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Blossom Church of Christ with Bro. Evan Butler and Bro. David Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Honor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Molly was born March 12, 1918 in Blossom to Alex and Sara Frances Smith Daugherty. She was the first in her family to graduate from high school graduating in 1932 from Blossom High School.
She met Porter L. Bybee and they married in 1946 and lived in Paris. They moved to Fort Worth in 1955 and raised five children there. Upon their retirement, they moved back to Paris in 1981.
Molly was very active in her church and community. Through her community service, she sewed caps for cancer patients. She loved working in her flower beds. Molly was devoted to her family and church family. Her favorite time of year was Thanksgiving when all her family would come and she would cook for them. Molly lived a long, wonderful life and will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Bybee; a son, Gary Bybee; a daughter, Wanda Berry; twelve brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter, Molly Price. She is survived by one son, Don Bybee and wife, Jan; three daughters, Carolyn Price, Patsy Neel and husband, William, and Sharon Schander and husband, Jim; twelve grandchildren, Jennifer Bass, Dustin Fowler, Bryan Neel, Amanda Cox, Brooke Crisp, Kelly Lebsock, Tonya Gentry, Heather Bailey, Angela Skeen, Joshua Schander, Bradley Berry, and Jamie Schander; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Henry Daugherty; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tim Bailey, Keith Skeen, Neil Lebsock, Bobby Bybee, Scott Bass, and Roger Daugherty.
