Industrialist. Involved with shipbuilding of oil tankers, and mining, he was president of Randsburg Railway, a 28 mile branch line railroad in the Mojave desert of California, which served as a supply link to the Rand Mine, which produced more silver than any mine in California. The mine closed in 1929 and the railway ceased operations in 1933.
