Husband of Fannie Kicklighter. James was a son of Zachariah Jesse Dasher, b. 02 Oct 1827; d. Jan 1887, and Caroline M. Smith, b. 15 Nov 1831; d. 04 May 1885.
James appeared with his parents and siblings in the 1880 Census (taken 02-03 Jun 1880) for District 1132 in Liberty Co., GA as a son age 5. So he would turn 6 in October. Contributed by: Wyndy South
James Edwin "Jimmy" Dasher, settled east of Glennville on present-day Dasher Road in the late 1800s. He married Fannie Kicklighter, daughter of Confederate veteran Frederick Kicklighter, and reared twelve children, from whom most of the Glennville Dashers descend. They were: Mark, Grady, Carrie, Joe, Annie, Dan, Arthur, Ruth, Lennie, Walter, Curtis, and Thad. Contributed by: Dylan Edward Mulligan
