Allie Dasenbrock Dies At Age 61

Allie Dasenbrock of Teutopolis, who was employed as a welder for Weber Brothers the past 28 years, died at 12:49 am Monday, January 21 at St Anthony Memorial hospital where he had been a patient since December 30th. Death was due to a heart condition. Mr. Dasenbrock became ill four months ago. He suffered his first heart attack on September 5 when he was a patient at the hospital for a month. He was recuperating at Home until December when he suffered another attack and was taken to the hospital. He has been in serious condition since that time.

He was born March 28, 1901, in Lillyville the son of the late Ferd and Elizabeth Dasenbrock. He was 61 years of age. He was married to the former Florence Lustig who survives. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on October 24th 1962. Mr. Dasenbrock was a member of the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Joe (Stella) Beall of Mattoon and three sons Bill and Harold of Effingham and Carl of Centralia, 19 grandchildren, Sister Clementia who is stationed in Japan as a missionary sister, Sister Onesima who is a patient at the hospital in Riverton, and Sister Willabalda who works at St Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham. All three are members of the Franciscan Order of Hospital Sisters. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs Ferd Koester of Effingham and brothers, Ferd, Ralph, and Frank of Effingham and John of Kansas.

Preceding him in death were a son, Louis, who died in 1944 and a sister, Mrs Henry Braun who died a year ago in October. The body lay in state at the Habing Funeral home in Teutopolis where the rosary was recited at 7:30 pm Monday and Tuesday. The requiem Mass was at 9:30 am Wednesday in St Francis Church with burial in the parish Cemetery.

Pallbearers were employees of Weber Brothers, Harry Thoele, Harry Leonard Funneman, Joe Goeckner, Paul Jansen, Arnold Heuerman and Lester Gardewine.
