LAWRENCEBURG - Edna Thomas Darland Carmickle, 77, of 1706 Clifton Road, Lawrenceburg, formerly of Mercer County, died Saturday at Woodford Memorial Hospital, Versailles. Born May 2, 1917, in Washington County, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bowen Walter Carmickle; three daughters, Henrietta Carmickle-Goins of Frankfort, Evalina Carmickle of Lawrenceburg and Betty Carmickle-Smith of Norfolk, Va.; three sons, William Thomas Carmickle and Bowen Edward Carmickle, both of Lawrenceburg, and James Walter Carmickle of Harrodsburg; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ritchie-Peach-Todd Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. today.
