Eugenia May Crippen "Aunt Jeannie", 93, of Hansen, ID passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Twin Falls, ID.

Eugenia was born September 30, 1919, the daughter of Eugene Issac and Willie Mae Webster Darland, at Pomeroy, WA.
She attended Philomathian School and then graduated from Pomeroy High School.

During the years of World War II she worked in defense and was a hostess of the USO out of Salt Lake City. She visited with the USO troops at Wendover, UT and the Air Group of then Colonel Paul Tibbets.

She later worked at Hanford, WA where she met and married George Bruce (Uncle Bruce) Crippen. They lived a happy life until February 10, 1971, when he passed away in Decatur, IL. "Uncle Bruce's" advice to his nephews was "Always keep your wife as your best girl friend."

Jean then moved to Heyburn, ID to be close to her sister, Katy Saylor. She worked at and retired from Rolland Jones Potatoes in Rupert. She later moved to Hansen, ID. where she lived independently until she passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, of congestive heart failure at the age of 93.

Eugenia May Darland Crippen was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Issac Darland and Willie Mae Webster Darland and her husband, George Bruce Crippen.

She is survived by her sister, Katy Saylor, of Rupert, ID; four first cousins, Geraldine Webster Hylton, of Rocky Mount, VA, Saunders (Jerri) Webster, of Boones Mill, VA , Russell Childress, of Amherst, VA, and Kathryn Webster Lunderman, of Marian, KS; four nephews and one niece, Donald (Angie) Saylor, of Marysville, WA, David Saylor, of Seattle, WA, Del (Sharon) Saylor, of Bothell, WA, Darwin (Linda) Saylor, of San Diego, CA, Claudia (Doug) Meyer, of Apex, NC; nine grandnephews and nieces; and 18 great-grandnephews and nieces.

Her final interment will be in Decatur beside her beloved "Georgie B."

No services will be held at this time for Eugenia. Arrangements are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you make a contribution to your favorite charity in her name.

She will be greatly missed. May God Bless her and receive her.
