Children From Afar Visit Mother on 82d Birthday
Mrs. Emille Danneman celebrated her 82d birthday yesterday at her home, 1519 Fifth avenue. Bedfast since a stroke last June, she greatly enjoyed the occasion, when her four children had a union at her bedside. In the morning she opened her gifts and in the evening, the birthday cake was cut in her room after dinner. There were more than 100 gifts and cards.
Her children are Mrs. Dorothea Tait of Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Edith Pasco of Chicago; Mrs. Gertrude Whitsitt of this city, and A. C. Danneman of Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Tait and Mr. Pasco accompanied their wives here. Mr. Danneman was accompanied here by his son, Garth Danneman. Mrs. S. J. Strube of Monroe, La., also came here for the occasion. She Is a sister of Mrs. Danneman, who has 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Many of Mrs. Danneman's descendants live here. Others, who live in Kansas City, made the trip here to honor her birthday. Dale Whitsitt came Friday, accompanied by his wife and their three children; Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Rautus and two children came yesterday and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Whitsitt and four children will arrive today.
Mrs. Danneman Is the widow of Leonard Danneman, who died 27 years ago.
