SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Elaine Louise (Daniels) Canfield, age 74, formerly of Andover, Ohio, passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2009.
Elaine was born June 4, 1934, in Andover, Ohio. After graduating from Kent State University, she taught K - 12 physical education in Ohio, Colorado and Michigan. She married Tom Canfield on July 15, 1959.
She is survived by her husband and their two sons: Alan Canfield, wife Wanda, and children, Rachael and Scott, all of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Eric Canfield, wife Julie, and son, Nick, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister, Eleanor (Ross) Boggs; and sisters-in-law, Doris Daniels, Tillie Daniels, Mary (Canfield) Bridge and Margaret (Canfield) Webber. She was loved by her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Doris Daniels, and brothers, Marvin and Dick Daniels.
She volunteered her services to many organizations; The United Methodist Church in Ohio, Colorado and Salt Lake City; PEO Chapter V, Westminster College; Arrowhead Lodge Poudre Canyon, Colo., and many more.
We wish to thank her many church friends, our wonderful LDS neighbors, Summit Home Health and Hospice, her dear friends still in Michigan, her PEO friends and those with whom she loved to play bridge.
