Vida Mae Banks, 79, is the daughter of the late James Wiley Daniels and Elizabeth Ellen Pelham Daniels. On March 12, 1963, she married Norman Haywood Banks, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 10, 1983. Vida Mae grew up in south Florida fishing and shelling alongside her family. As a teenager, the family farmed and raised gladiolus flowering plants. She even drove a dump truck for a construction company in South Florida. After 27 years of faithful service, she retired as a certified nursing tech with Northside Mental Health Services and Archbold Memorial Hospital. She loved to fish, dance and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include: a daughter, June Spells; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Geneva Enfinger, James Enfinger, Johnny and Donita Enfinger, George and Lisa Banks, Norman and Renee Banks; grandchildren and spouses, Jamie and Lisa Enfinger, Sherry and Jerry Wiseman, James C. Enfinger, Alisha Enfinger, Steve Enfinger Jr., Jessica and Junior Williams, James H. Enfinger, Autumn Lane, Catrina Enfinger, Stephanie and Trent Lawler, Michael and Kari Johnson, Thomas and Kimberly King, Teri and Joey Hurst, Kristi and Jarred Lewis, Ashley Banks, Natalie Banks, Christopher Enfinger; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Benjamin and Barbara Daniels, James Randall and Ella Daniels.
Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; brothers, Charles Benjamin Daniels and James Randall Daniels.
