The graveside funeral for Mabel Daniel Calaman, 88, of Martinsville, who died Aug. 26, 2006, at Blue Ridge Rehab will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Herman Church of the Brethren cemetery with Father Joseph Torretto officiating.
She was born June 26, 1918, in Bassett to James Pete Daniel and Beulah Adkins Daniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic "Don" Anthony Calaman; and five brothers, T.V. Daniel, J.P. Daniel, Norman C. Daniel, Joseph Daniel and David Daniel.
She was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Felecia Calaman Boswell of Martinsville; a son, John B. Calaman of Danville; two sisters, Eva D. Nolen of Collinsville and Sarah D. McGinnis of Wabash, Ind.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home at 1123 Cherokee Trail in Martinsville.
