Mrs. Beverly D. "Pete" Burnett, 84, of Wynne, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Wynne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. C. Daniel, Jr. and Lucy Wells Daniel; husband, Benton Harris Burnett; daughter, Beverly Wells Burnett; sister, Mary D. Dooley; and brother, W. C. Daniel, III.

Mrs. Burnett was a graduate of Wynne High School and Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Wynne where she was a former Lay Leader and a Sunday School and Confirmation Teacher. She was a former President of the United Methodist Women. She was a 50 year volunteer for the American Cancer Society, a Regent of William Strong Chapter of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and a Girl Scout Leader. "Pete" was a golfer and a duplicate bridge player.

Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Marian (Marty) B. Wadkins and husband Rev. J. E. Wadkins of Springdale, Arkansas; grandchildren, Elijah D. Wadkins and Lucas Wells Wadkins.

Graveside services were held at Cogbill Cemetery with a memorial service at First United Methodist Church in Wynne.
