Mildred "Millie" (Daniel) Bellamy Obituary On Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, Mildred "Millie" Daniel Bellamy went home to be with her Lord and enjoy His presence forever. Born Nov. 16, 1921, in Etowah County to Irby Andrew and Mamie Powell Daniel, she attended Gadsden High School, and after graduating Gadsden Business College, worked for a time at Camp Siebert and then began her career as a teller at Alabama City Bank. She relocated to East Gadsden Bank, where she eventually became a loan officer and assistant vice-president, retiring as the most successful officer at that institution.She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Frank Dean) and Mary Ann (Danny Clayton); grandchildren, Terry (Robin), Jason and Anna Dean, Kim (Vince Noblitt) and Brett (Chenequa) Clayton; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Mason, Brady, Grace and Ava Dean, Anna Claire, Lauren and Clayton Noblitt and Hannah Reece and Ryleigh Elizabeth Clayton.She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Dewey Cantrell Bellamy; father, Irby Andrew Daniel; and mother, Mamie Powell Daniel.A precious grandmother, her grandchildren loved spending time with her doing puzzles, baking cookies and listening to her tell them stories. She taught her two daughters sewing, a love of cooking, and most importantly, the truths of God's Word. Gardening was her delight and she always had fresh cut flowers in her home. A member of Dwight Baptist Church for more than 60 years, she faithfully served as Sunday School teacher, WMU and Leisure Timers Director, and in many other capacities in her desire to honor her Lord. She exemplified the wife and mother of Proverbs 31.Visitation will be at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Services directing.Pallbearers will be Terry Dean, Jason Dean, Brett Clayton, Vince Noblitt, Larry Bellamy, J.L. Bellamy and Robert Bellamy. Honorary pallbearers are officers and teachers of Dwight Baptist Church and all former officers and employees of East Gadsden Bank.Any memorials can be made to Dwight Baptist Church.The family of Mildred Bellamy would like to express our deepest gratitude to those who ministered so unselfishly to her: her brothers and sisters at Dwight Baptist Church, especially Katherine Brown, who visited, sent cards and prayed for her; all employees at Royal Haven, Regency Pointe; Kelly Rampy and Stephanie Jarmon of Lawley Premier Hospice Care; sitters, Donna Jones and Debra Allen; 400 Hall nurses at Gadsden Health and Rehab Center; doctors, Jason Ayers and James Robinson; and many other friends and neighbors whose friendship meant so much to her.
