Violet A. Caylor, 75, of Knox, passed into eternity at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, in UPMC Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 19, 1935, in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Violet Neiswonger Dandoy.
Violet was a housewife.
She enjoyed canning, cooking, singing and spending time with family. She was loved by all who knew her.
On Jan. 21, 1953, she married Frank Caylor, and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1998.
Violet is survived by three children, Sherry Hoover of Strattanville, Pamela Caylor of Polk, Fla., and Gerald Caylor and his wife Terri of Emlenton; a daughter-in-law, Helen Caylor of Clarion; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Violet was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Caylor.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services are private and are being held at the convenience of the family.
The David C. McEntire Funeral Home, Inc., 504 East Penn St., Knox, is in charge of arrangements.
