Elizabeth Mathilda Dammann was the daughter of William Henry Dammann and Magdalena Severin. She married Ephren Henry Rostenbach. Their children are Dennis Ephren, Shirley Maxine, Bonita Celine, Greta Darlene, Audrey Evelyn and Sandra Elizabeth Rostenbach.

OBITUARY; TIMES-DEMOCRAT - WEDNESDAY - APRIL 28, 1954 - PAGE 2A - MRS. ROSTENBACH RITES SET FRIDAY - Final rites for Mrs. Ephren Rostenbach, 57, a resident of Buffalo the last 35 years and a native of Eldridge, who died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in her home after an extended illnes, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Runge Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. The former Elizabeth Dammann was born Aug 29, 1896, the daughter of William and Magdalena Dammann. She had attended schools of Eldridge, and was married to Mr. Rostenbach in Rock Island, July 31, 1920. Since their marriage the couple had been residing in Buffalo. Mrs. Rostenbach was a member of the Lutheran Church of Buffalo and the Scott County Farm Bureau. A son, Dennis, died in infancy, and two sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Everett Hughes and Mrs. George Carson both of Davenport, Mrs William Ceperley, Jr. and Miss Sandra Rostenbach, both of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Arthur Remley, Buffalo; two sisters Mrs. Roy Guy, Davenport and Mrs. Ben Litscher, Eldridge, and four grandchildren.
