Bettie Jane O'Connell, 91, Marion, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was born on March 13, 1924 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis to the late William R. and Honoria B. Dalton. She was married to Daniel J. O'Connell, Jr. on April 14, 1956 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She worked at L.S Ayres, Lux Laundry and Nineveh Real Estate Agency. She was also a devoted homemaker who took loving care of her family members for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband Daniel J. O'Connell of Indianapolis and her niece Maia Dalton-Theodore of Alexandria, VA and numerous god-children. Her brother James J. Dalton of Washington, DC preceded her in death in 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2905 Carson Ave., Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
