BULA,Floy Olive (Dail)
Passed away peacefully November 6, 2012 in Spokane, WA. She was born February 23, 1913 to Floyd and Rose Dail in Junction City, Oregon. In 1917, the family packed up the Model T and moved to Mooreland, Oklahoma.
Floy met the love of her life, Ira "Dean" Bula, in 1930. They were married October 10, 1940 and lived in Republic, WA before finally settling in Spokane in 1942.
Floy is survived by two sons, David (wife, Sue) and Richard (wife, Jean), both of Spokane; four grandchildren, Kathleen "Kat", James (wife, Laura), Tami and Jennifer (husband, Takuya); and her longtime feline companion, Cloud.
Her beloved husband, Dean, preceded her in death, as well as her two sisters Gladys Story and Pearl Eilers.
Her work outside the home included banking in Mooreland and in Spokane at Washington Trust Bank. She was a church organist in Spokane for many years.
Floy had many loves, especially friends, family and MUSIC. Music is how she met Dean, for she played piano in the Methodist church where his father was pastor. Dean and Floy loved music, especially Floy's organ, which she played for him every evening, even after his passing. Together, they enjoyed traveling, Western Round Dancing, photography and most of all, family.
She was proud to be the daughter and granddaughter of Mooreland, Oklahoma pioneers.
Floy was a very generous, loving soul with a heart of gold. Her sunny outlook on life and magnetic personality were infectious. Anyone who knew Floy loved her.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Hospice of Spokane and Touchmark (Waterford) for their compassion and care these final days.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Central United Methodist Church or Hospice of Spokane. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved Dean at Greenwood Cemetery. Service details are available through Heritage Funeral Home.
