Marjorie Arabella Brooks was born the daughter of John Walter and Nora Rickson Dahm. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1939. In 1941, she moved to Chicago where she met Glenn B. Brooks. They were married on June 9, 1943, in Connecticut and lived in Chicago for many years. He died March 25, 1976.
Marjorie later married William Cowden and was divorced. In 1984, she moved to a nursing home in Marysville, KS. She passed away at the Community Memorial Healthcare Long Term Care Center in Marysville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Dale Dahm; and a sister, Velma Jean Inama. She is survived by two sisters, LaVerne Brady and Beverly Desbien.
