Albina P. Dahlgren, 95, of Plainfield, former Shelbyville resident, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 14, 1906, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Tom and Albina (Richak) Gill. She married S. Hilding Dahlgren on July 25, 1925, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1974.
Survivors include one daughter, Lucille Ali of Plainfield; five grandchildren, John Dahlgren of Newport News, Va., Jean Szwaya of Wayne, Ill., Janet Joyce of Evergreen Park, Ill., Dr. S. Jeffrey Ali of Lakewood, Ohio, and Anita Sipes of Indianapolis; and five great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Walter Dahlgren, five brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Dahlgren lived the last 1-1/2 years at Indianapolis Retirement Home in Indianapolis. Prior to that she lived in Plainfield for 20 years and in Shelbyville during the 1970s.
She had been an office worker for many years.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Street Funeral Home, 232 W. Broadway St.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
