Mae Elaine Dahlberg, age 76, St. Cloud MN, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in McLeod County MN due to injuries from a plane crash.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Salem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud MN. Rev. Wayne Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Wheatland Cemetery, Wheatland ND. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Mae was born February 1, 1936 in Arthur, ND to Henning and Alma (Roach) Pearson. She graduated from Concordia College with a degree in Music and from Moorhead State University with a degree in Education. Mae married Francis "Fran" A. Dahlberg on October 6, 1956 in Fargo, ND. They farmed in North Dakota until 1972 when they moved to Minneapolis, MN. Mae was employed as a preschool teacher for a day care center and was a classical pianist and longtime piano teacher. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, David (Lori) Dahlberg of Basking Ridge, NJ; daughters, Susan (Gary) DeSha of Alexandria, MN; and Heather K. Dahlberg of Craig, CO; and four grandchildren, J.C. Salscheider, Hannah (fiancé Jordan Newhouse) Salscheider, Hailey Dahlberg and Justin Dahlberg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, on November 23, 2010; son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Ivelisse "Ive" Dahlberg on March 21, 2012.
Pallbearers will be David Dahlberg, Justin Dahlberg, J.C. Salscheider, Gary DeSha, Jordan Newhouse, and David Gaines.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
