Mrs Mary Dalburgh [s/b Dahlberg]
Her life rounding out a period of early a century, Mrs. Mary Dalburgh died at an early hour Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gustava Lago, in Battle Ground. The infirmities of old age caused her death. She was born In Sweden January 11, 1811, and came from that country to Lafayette in 1870 and after being there a year moved Battle Ground. Her first husband, Mr. Carlson [s/b Carl Jaensson] died in Sweden in 1869. In 1872 she married John Dahlburgh, who died in 1890. Mrs. Dahlburgh was the mother of nine children. The oldest son still lives In Sweden. She also leaves seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was a member of the United Brethren church and she and her husband gave the lot on which the U. B church now stands at Rattle Ground. She was a woman of lofty character and generous impulses and was admired by all who knew her. The funeral was held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the U. B. church, Reverend Van Allen officiating. Burial was made in the Battle Ground cemetery.
