Mrs. Catherine Marie Colligan of Mary's Nursing Home, formerly of 195 Farnum St., died this morning at Jones Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Wellsville she was born July 7, 1898 a daughter of Thomas and Mary Kiley Dahill. She married Charles Colligan in 1919. He predeceased her. Mrs. Colligan had also resided in Bradford, Pa. but spent most of her life in Wellsville. She was a homemaker and had also worked in the Immaculate Conception school cafeteria.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, and a member of Morrison Hayes #702 American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Colligan of Wellsville and Donald J. Colligan of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Norma) Kensek of Buffalo, and Mrs. John (Shirley) Gostley of Wellsville; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Cassidy and Mrs. Edward McGrath, both of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Embser Funeral Home today from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. James Grimmer, pastor, will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wellsville.
Memorials may be made to Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
