Margery Ruth Bash, 83, was delivered from death to walk before our Lord on May 22, 2010. Born June 26, 1926 to Horace Charles and Annetta (Ferguson) Dunn in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Classen High School. She met the love of her life, James L. Bash, at age thirteen and they married on July 22, 1946, after he returned from military service in WWII. Ruth and James' home was always open to family and friends, purse open for help and heart open to love and guide. Ruth worked before marriage and then became a housewife. She enjoyed bookkeeping while James owned Wynelco in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Ruth enjoyed collecting many things including stamps, pigs, coins, turtles, pens and friends. She loved games, cards, computers, photography, genealogy and was the keeper of our families' histories. She was a wizard at crossword puzzles. She followed football, basketball, and the PGA. She rooted for both OSU and OU (until they played each other!). Preceded in death by her parents, brother Carroll Dunn, three sisters Emoise Easley, Iris Whittaker-Guild, Alice Voelkers, adopted children Linda VanBrunt and Robert Bash, nephew Charles Whittaker and husband of forty years James L. Bash. Survived by nieces and nephews (her kids) Carolyn Rae Himebook, Edward Dunn, Iris Washington, Sharon Ward, Nancy Brown, James Voelkers, Gary Voelkers, Earl Easley, Robert Whittaker, Linda McCurdy and Janet Wentroth as well as numerous grand nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
