Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Alice C. Domingue, age 60, the former Alice Cormier, who passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at 12:20 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Crowley, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Domingue was a native and a resident of Carencro for most of her life.
Survivors include her husband of twenty four years, Denis Domingue, of Carencro; one step son, Bradford Domingue and his wife, Kristin, of Lafayette; two daughters, Tina Marie Leger of Lafayette and Tonia Louise Leger of Parishville, NY; two step daughters, Phyllis Comeaux of Sunset and Stacey Domingue of Lafayette; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; three brothers, Elus James Cormier of Cankton, Francis Cormier of New Iberia and Russell Paul Cormier and his wife, Nellie, of Scott; and five sisters, Mary Jane Chiasson of Mire, Loraine Davis of MS, Gail Marie Aucoin and her husband, Darral, of Scott, Mary Virginia Faul and her husband, Chris, and Cecile Ann Romero and her husband, Robert, all of Cecilia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elus Joseph Cormier and the former Rena Babineaux; and one son, Huey John Leger, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Chiasson, Karen Bergeron, Brad Domingue, Russell Cormier, Mike Clark, Jr. and Jared Bergeron. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Babineaux and Elus James Cormier.
Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Avenue, Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
