EOLA DENT JOHNSON BELL, mostly known as "MAU" lived in Port Allen, Louisiana for most of her life. The daughter of the late Willie Dent and Mary Jane Blackwell, was born on February 18, 1927. She was a long time and active member of the Israelite Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop George C. Pierce. She served as an Usher until her health failed, and participated on many programs for the Church.

Even after she could not walk very far on her own, she would sit at the road in her wheelchair and wave to neighbors, family and friends as they passed her home. She had an array of trees in front of her home and decorated the trees at Christmas time.

She recently went to reside in Addis with one of her daughters after Hurricane Gustav because of her illness. Eola came from a large family and was reared with nine (9) siblings. One died at a very young age.

She leaves to cherish her memories five (5) daughters: Patricia Scott, Brusly; Norma (Lawrence) Anderson, Addis; Sandra (Michael) Butler, Mary Wilson, Port Allen; Alma (Joseph) Jones, Gonzales; three (3) sons: Edward Wilson, Donald Ray Wilson, Baton Rouge, and Calvin Johnson, Addis.
Two (2) brothers, Sylvester (Viki) Dorsey, Port Allen; Lutcher Miller, Jr., Hammond; sister-in-law, Irma Washington, Hammond. Two (2) Sisters, Fannie Jones, and Mary Gillingham, Port Allen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents; two husbands, Calvin Johnson, Sr., and Paul Bell; aunt, Elnora Seals; one sister, Corinne Washington; four (4) brothers, Reverend James Washington, George Parker, Sr., Edward Favors and Alton Favors; granddaughter, Rita Springer, nieces, Felita Ann Jackson, Tandria S. Cummings and Kimberly L. Young.
