Mary Dominica D'Arpini Dolce Lincina

Mary Dominica Licina, 94, of Monroe, died at Mercy Memorial Hospital Nursing Center, Frenchtown Township, where she had been in poor health for a month. Friends called at Rupp Funeral Home, where services were held. The Rev. Stephen Rooney, pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church, officiated. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born May 21, 1910, in Arnara, Italy, she was the daughter of Angelo and Annuziata (Salvatori) D'Arpini. She married Dominic Dolce. She married Daniel W. Licina Sept. 18, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio. He died March 2 1965. A beautician for 30 years, she operated Mary's Beauty Shop in Monroe, retiring in 1957. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a past volunteer at Frenchtown and Monroe Senior Citizens. Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn M.Larkins of Monroe; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael; seven brothers, and two sisters.
