Mrs. Alva Leigh Cutts Cahoon, Valley Ridge, Rt. 2, Covington, died in Emmett Memorial Hospital Saturday at the age of 74. She was bron in Chase City, Nov. 9, 1902, and had lived in this area for the past 53 years. She was the daughter of the late Robert Leigh Cutts and Kate Morris Cutts. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, the Ladies Bible Class, and the Old Forge Garden Clu. She is survived by her husband, Earl T. Cahoon, of Valley Ridge. Other survivors include a son, Robert Cutts Cahoon, Oakton; two grandsons, Robert Cutts Cahoon, Jr. and Barry M. Cahoon, both of Oakton; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Eudalley, Greenville, N.C., Mrs. Florence Neuman, East Islip, N.J., Mrs. Ruth Allen, Richmond, Mrs. Mable P. Griefe, Pompano Beach, Fla.; two brothers, creednmore, N.C., Robert Edward Cutts, Boynton, Fla; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 3 p.m. in the Nicely Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Bridges and the Rev. Rober Hunt officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be M. W. Burnett, Jr., Mac H. Cahoon, Charles K. Shoemaker, L. H. Saville, A. M. Helmintoller, Cecil Carter, James Skeiding, James G. Sanders, and Ken Paul Craft. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8:30 o'clock.
