Billy Cutshall, 61, of Greene County, died early Saturday morning at the Johnson City Medical Center after an extended battle with cancer.

Mr. Cutshall retired from General Shale after 35 years of service. He was also an avid farmer.

He was a member of Caney Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

The family stated, "He thought the world of his three special grandchildren, and was a loving father and grandfather."

Mr. Cutshall is survived by his former wife of 40 years and special friend: Juanita Cutshall of Greene County; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Billy Lee and Ruth Cutshall and Jason Cutshall, both of Greene County; three grandchildren: Megan Cutshall, Samuel Cutshall, and Aaron Cutshall, all of Greene County; his mother: Essie Cutshall of Greene County; four sisters and their spouses: Phyllis Ann and Hartsell Mullins, Porsha Gosnell, and Ireene and Rawleigh Tweed, all of Greene County, and Flora Mae and Bill Sheeks of West Memphis, Ark.; five brothers and their spouses: Edward and Doris Cutshall, Gilbert and Linda Cutshall, Orville and Lisa Cutshall, Hartsell and Karen Cutshall, and Bobby and Janet Cutshall, all of Greene County; several nieces and nephews; one special aunt: Louella Easterly of Greene County; several cousins; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Johnny and Lisa Mullins of Greene County; one sister-in-law: Betty Penley of Greene County; and special friends: Wayland "Weasel" Bernard and George and Diane Carroll all of Greene County.

Mr. Cutshall was a son of the late Phillip Cutshall.
