Lenore Bowen, 92, of Parkersburg died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at the Arbors of Marietta.
She was born in Upshur County Sept. 8, 1914, and was the daughter of the late Clyde Calvin and Harriet Matilda Cutright Wilson. She had attended the Prayer Chapel in Parkersburg and had worked for the American Viscose Co. She loved crocheting and had been in every state except Alaska and North Dakota.
Survivors include her son, Foster "Jack" Wilson and his wife, Betty, of Wadesville, W.Va.; her daughter, Shelby Creel and her husband, Robert, of Chandlersville, Ohio; a brother, Basil Wilson and his wife, Jeraldeen, of Frenchton, W.Va.; and five nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Edwin Bowen in1959; and a brother and sister-in-law, Arless "Pick" Wilson and his wife, Lila Swadley Wilson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Karol Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen South Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday and up until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
