Arlene Goldie Cutler, 80, of Story City, died of complications of a stroke Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City, of which she was a member. Burial was at Radcliffe Cemetery in Radcliffe.
Arlene Cuttler was born in Malcom and had lived in Laurel, Charter Oak, Sanborn and Radcliffe before moving to Story City in the mid-1980s. She was a retired nurse's aid for the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. She was a member of the United Methodist Church Women and Afternoon Circle. She was a volunteer at preschools and at Bethany Manor Nursing Home in Story City.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Hinderaker of Radcliffe; two sons, Gary of Madison, Wis., and David of Rochester, Minn.; a sister, Lorena Dolmage of West Des Moines; two brothers, Harvey Hindman of Winterset and Leland Hindman of Earlham; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald.
Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Israel Family Hospice House.
