CHESAPEAKE - Juanita E. Cutchins, 85, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 in Chesapeake. She was born in Bertie County, North Carolina, to the late Russell and Gertrude Buck Eure. She taught crochet classes at the Recreation Department of Chesapeake and was a member of the Julia Heier Circle and secretary of the Chesapeake Auxiliary. She also proudly volunteered 28 years of service at Chesapeake General Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, James A. Cutchins Sr. She is also survived by a son, James A. Cutchins Jr. and his wife Gale; a daughter, Karen Jamieson and her husband Paul; grandchildren, Niccole Marshall and her husband David and Victoria VandeMark and her husband Ryan. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park with the Rev. Mark Bender officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Graham Funeral Home. At the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to the Chesapeake Hospital Auxiliary or the American Cancer Society .
