Jacob Leo Cushing, 98, of Waukee, formerly of Adel, passed away Friday at Legacy Pointe in Waukee. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at the United Methodist Church in Adel. Burial: Walnut Township Cemetery in Waukee. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, where family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; his parents, three brothers, two sisters and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to The Carver Family Center for Macular Degeneration, The University of Iowa Foundation, P.O. Box 4550, Iowa City, IA 52244-4550.
