Emily Cushey, 89, of Clairton, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 30, 1921, in Fara San Martino, Italy, daughter of the late Anthony and Giovanna (DiAntonio) DeMaio and wife of the late John E. Cushey, who died June 22, 2000. She was retired from the Clairton Public Library and was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton. She is survived by granddaughters Michele (Brad) Brown of Dayton, Ohio, and Laura Hensley of Kettering, Ohio; great-grandsons Justin and Nathan; brothers Bellve DeMaio of Clairton, Victor DeMaio of Glassport, and Anthony DeMaio of Brookline; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Ann Boch, who passed away November 6, 1995. Friends will be received Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 Fifth St., Clairton, Pa., 15025. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Clare of Assisi Parish.
