Elisabeth was the daughter of Chuck and Diana Curtiss of Champaign IL. She had two younger brothers: Caleb and Canaan and a younger sister, Charity.
Elisabeth was the best friend of my daughter, Abigail Richards, and grew up in Champaign IL.
Throughout elementary and high school my family saw a lot of Elisabeth as Abigail and she spent time together in each other's home or attended worship times at the church together.
Elisabeth's parents lived just around the corner and up Washington street from us a few blocks. Her father and I served as chauffeurs for them in delivering them to all kinds of events.
My daughter Abigail remembers: "She and I took our little sisters to the pool together. She loved to draw/paint; and she was an amazing artist. Elisabeth also wrote poetry. She loved cats; and had 2 for several years."
Elisabeth married Matthew Carter, and settled down to raise a family here in Champaign IL.
She was tragically killed in a two-car accident one morning. Our solace was and is that she was a Christian, and thus was graciously received by her Lord Jesus Christ after her passing. We miss her.
