MRS. JAMES McV. BREED
Mrs. Jane Curtiss Breed of New York City and Heathcote Farm, Amenia, wife of James McVickar Breed of the law firm of Breed & Morgan, died Monday after a long illness, in the Harkness Pavilion of the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.
Born in Bay City, Mich., she was a daughter of Charles B. and Georgianna McGraw Curtiss. A former trustee of the Stony Wold Sanitorium, and founder of its No. 5 Auxiliary, Mrs. Breed had been active in the social service work of the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband she leaves a brother, Charles B. Curtiss of Bay City.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Madison Avenue Presbyterian church, Madison Avenue and 73rd street, New York city, with interment at Ithaca, N.Y. on Thursday.
