The daughter of Ina (Stanhope) and Neal Jean Curtiss, Henrietta Faye Curtiss was born September 17, 1948 in Guymon, Oklahoma. She attended Texhoma schools graduating in 1967. Henrietta was united in marriage to Bob Bailey on July 3, 1968 in Clayton, New Mexico. Henrietta was a stay at home mom and was always active and supportive of her children and grandchildren. "Retta" was extremely devoted to her family and had a strong faith. She enjoyed reading, music, gardening and was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Bob Bailey of Texhoma; son, John Bailey and wife, Nina of Maysville, OK; Lori Dodgion and husband, Rick of Guymon; April Bailey and husband, Tim Robinson of Thornton, CO; Autumn McKay and husband, Robert of Guymon; sister, Imo King of Guymon; thirteen grandchildren, Cade, Cale, Shade and Ryker Bailey; Tim Dodgion and wife, Cara; Charrissa and Bailey Pierce; Becky Dodgion; Larrissa Bailey and Curtiss Robinson; Hannah, Hayden and Hunter McKay; and one great granddaughter, Emma Dodgion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nina LaJuana Curtiss, and brother-in-law, Darrell King.
The Bailey family will receive friends for viewing and visitation on Friday evening, 5-7 PM at the Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, Texhoma location, 111 S 2nd Street.
Celebration of life services will be Saturday afternoon, November 8th , 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Texhoma with Rev. Tommy Hull, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Texhoma Cemetery. Services are under the care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.
