2nd Wife of Theodore Everett Curtiss
Mother of Theodore Tupper Curtiss.
Curtiss.--Died, Dec. 31, 1896 at Waverly, Ill., Mrs. Augusta Tupper Curtiss, aged almost 65 years. These few words do not tell of the darkened home or the saddened hearts of those bereft of one so dear. She was married to Theodore E. Curtiss in December, 1868, and has ever since resided in Waverly, Ill., where she has been the center of a loving family and a host of friends. As long as her health permitted she was very active in church work, and the missionary society ever received her helpful support, and to the last, when unable to take an active part, she still and often expressed her loving interest in the work. As a wife, mother, sister and friend, her place can never be filled, but husband, sister, son and daughters still feel that "she is not lost, but gone before."
