Averi Lynn Curtis, our precious daughter, was taken from us on Novemeber 3, 1997, as the results of an ATV accident.
She was born February 3, 1984 in Richfield, a daughter of Richard J. and Amber Sharlett Crane Curtis. She was currently attending North Sevier Middle School, where she was serving on the student council. She was an A student. She won the Pentathlon in the middle school for the past two years, and her goal was to win it again this year. She enjoyed fast pitch softball, but her favorite sport was basketball. Averi was a Beehive in the Young Women's Program of the LDS Church and she thoroughly loved it. She was quite a little tease and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her brother and sisters and they will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her parents; sisters and brother, Shaunie, Kiley, Richard, Dani J., and Kodi Curtis, all of Aurora; her grandparents, Erma and Leo Crane, of Salina; Sid and Gwen Curtis, of Aurora; great-grandmother, LaJune Barney, of Central Valley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 1997 at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina. There will be a viewing for Averi's classmates, Friday at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, from 3 to 4 p.m. General public viewing will be Friday evening at the funeral home, 6-9 p.m. and at the stake center Saturday, 10-11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery, under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Salina and Richfield, Utah.
