LAST RITES HELD FOR AARON T. CURTIS
Rev. J.J. McDaniel, Minco, conducted last rites for Aaron T. Curtis, Thursday afternoon August 29, 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Minco. Caso passed away August 27, after a lengthy illness.
Aaron T. Curtis was born January 17, 1905 at El Reno, Oklahoma the son of Robert and May Aaron Curtis. He lived west of Minco before statehood and was known by many cattle ranchers over the state.
On June 26, 1926 he was married to Ethel Thomas at El Reno, Okla. To this union four children were born. One son Paul Curtis preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife Ethel of the home; one son Robert F. of Union City; two daughters, Mrs. Zelda May Curtis McMahan, Mustang; Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Curtis Statser of Yukon; six grandchildren, also a sister Emile Godchaux, New Orleans and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Troy McKelvey and Calvin Woodwoth sang, "In The Garden" and "Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. Burgess Toll was at the organ.
Pallbearers were Martin Rowe, Howard Gabehart, Dale Cooksey, Earl Halverson, Joe Fitzgerald and Fred Wakefield. Interment was in the Hazel Dell Cemetery under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Home.
